A shoot is a controlled situation. You call the shots. There is money on the line and everybody knows it. People should be there to work, and this includes the models and everyone else helping out.

People tend to go brain dead the fist few times they see a girl or guy do exactly what they are told. You kind of have to snap them out of it. It happened to me on my first shoot: I had the camera on standby for 20 minutes. I could see through the viewfinder but it was not recording! That was money out the window and I never did it again.

But trying to maintain control is essential if you are going to run your web site as a production business. Because producing porn for the net is crossing the digital divide. It takes something quite tangible and moves it into that elusive domain we call the 'Net.

Once on the Internet it becomes digital data that takes on a life of its own, and if you are into making streaming video like I am, it becomes art imitating life at its best.

You must always control the situation and make the models understand that for them to get paid, they must perform. Now whatever they do is up to you, and how much you are willing to pay. But unlike almost everything else in life, in our business it's not always "you get what you pay for..."

It is so amazing how those girls with the silicon tits ask for a million dollars and then give a lousy show! Many times you'll find that the videos you got from that ad you ran stating you wanted models for 50 dollars are better than the ones that cost you 500! You can never tell.

You must decide how much it is worth to you and then stick to that number for each and every model that comes along, because those silicon titties will make your mind move your mouth and say some stupid things that later on you cannot believe!
